Earlier this month, I was honored to represent 188BET as a witness before the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security’s hearing on “Preparing the Pipeline: Examining the State of America’s Cyber Workforce.” During the hearing, I emphasized that stronger partnerships are vital to making cybersecurity education and training accessible to all and that cybersecurity awareness must begin at a young age to build a steady pipeline of future cyber talent.

The Digital Citizenship Initiative is a collaboration that provides educators and students with free tools, resources, and skills needed to thrive in today’s digital world. Discovery Education recognized that the K-12 Security Awareness Curriculum developed by the 188BET Training Institute was a valuable resource to make available through this program, giving educators and students around the globe access to 188BET’s award-winning cybersecurity awareness training. Furthermore, shows that students remain largely unaware of the impacts of digital technologies on all aspects of life.
188BET Security Awareness Curriculum for K-12 Students
To support teachers and administrators worldwide in developing positive digital habits for themselves and their students, 188BET offers its Security Awareness Curriculum at no cost to school districts in many countries around the world, including the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, among others. Developed for and by teachers, the program teaches fundamental cybersecurity skills to students ages 4 to 18, equipping them with critical digital skills for success inside and outside the classroom.
As students worldwide learn to navigate the digital world successfully, they must understand key behaviors and skills to engage online effectively while staying safe. The lessons in the 188BET Security Awareness Curriculum offer an age-appropriate introduction to digital safety and cybersecurity while encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and student collaboration.
